This recipe can be used to make any store bought icing taste more like homemade buttercream
What you need.....
2 lbs. ( 908 g) Store bought icing
1 lbs (453 g) Unsalted butter (at room temperatrue)
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
How to make this.....
Place icing, vanilla and butter in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment.
Cream on medium speed until smooth.
For light and fluffy icing, switch to the whip attachment and beat on high for 2 minutes.
When you say store bought icing is that the kind that comes in the little tubs from the baking aisle or is that the American buttercream some stores sell in their bakery sections?
